Use of BCICAC as appointing authority and administrator in arbitrations
Parties who agree to arbitrate under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, and to have the BCICAC act as appointing authority and to provide administrative services may use the following clause:
| Any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this contract, or the breach, termination or invalidity of it shall be settled by arbitration in accordance with the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules in effect on the date of this contract.
The appointing authority shall be the British Columbia International Commercial Arbitration Centre.
The case shall be administered by the British Columbia International Commercial Arbitration Centre.
The place of arbitration shall be Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Note: Parties may wish to consider adding: (a) The number of arbitrations shall be _______ (one or three). (b) The language(s) to be used in the arbitral proceedings shall be _________. |
